111 West 57th Street
The skinny supertall tower at 111 West 57th Street has finally launched sales and we thoroughly enjoyed touring its beautiful sales gallery this month. The project’s 60 condos, being developed by JDS Development Group, Property Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, will be spread out between the newly built skyscraper and the original landmarked Steinway building built in 1925. Designed by SHoP Architects (exterior) and Studio Solfield (interior), the building will top out at over 1,400 feet, making it one of the tallest towers in NYC. Prices within the tower start at $18 million with the most expensive unit being the 7000 square foot duplex penthouse for $57 million.
Almost all the apartments here will be full floor residences (seven are duplexes), and most will have private elevator entryways. Some of the unique features include 14-foot ceiling heights and kitchens with curved cabinets, two dishwashers, three ovens, white quartzite countertops, and gray oak flooring. Door handles designed in the shape of the tower is also a beautiful touch. The 20,000 square feet of amenities boast a Steinway grand piano that will sit in the middle of the resident's lounge, a fitness center, swimming pool, barbershop, and shoeshine stand.

The Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards has finally sold his Greenwich Village penthouse (unfortunately at a loss) a little over two years after he first listed it. Variety first reported on the sale of the penthouse, which closed for $9.95 million (almost $2 million less than its most recent ask of $12 million). Richards and his wife Patti Hansen purchased the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2016 for $12.23 million.

Gazala’s
Gazala’s has made its return to the Upper West Side, serving chef-owner Gazala Halabi’s thin, springy pitas. There’s already a small location in Hell’s Kitchen, but this bigger new outpost offers a larger menu, as well as booze (including cocktails with arak, an anise liquor). Beyond Halabi’s spreads and kebabs, we recommend the shawarma, and cauliflower tahini salad.
Henry
Chef JJ Johnson's new midtown restaurant, Henry at the Life Hotel, features a menu with an amalgamation of flavors from across Africa, the Caribbean, and the American South. Particularly exciting is the short rib dish with millet, hoisin barbecue sauce, and black beans along with the collard green salad and salmon noodles. Drinks come from acclaimed former Seamstress bartender Pam Wiznitzer.
Hao Noodle
Hit Greenwich Village Chinese restaurant Hao Noodle has added a second space in Chelsea, focused on its signature noodles and various Chinese BBQ dishes. The pretty plant-filled space with open kitchen serves up fan favorites like cumin lamb skewers, dandan noodles, and beef short ribs with pineapple in a black pepper sauce.

Greenery
Decorating with plants is a great way to bring greenery and texture to your home. Succulents, for example, remain remain a trend this year and if you do not have a natural green thumb, they are very easy to care for. Otherwise, pillow covers or wallpaper with banana leaf patterns are a great alternative to the real thing.
