It is February and love is in the air; for our family, friends, our country and for sure, on a whole new level for our HOMES! As “home” has taken on an entirely new meaning, we see NYC residents making changes based on their new needs. This has translated into the much needed activity the NYC residential market has been yearning for. Stats from the luxury market also indicated that buyers are going big with 7 out of 16 contracts signed in the 2nd week of January at over $10 million. The last time this happened was in the first week of March 2020, just before the shutdown. With a new level of appreciation for our homes, we are optimistic that this will continue. As the saying goes, our homes are our sanctuary. This has never been more true than today!

Upscale Kitchens with Low Budget Twist
|
As New Yorkers spend more time cooking at home, those dated cabinets, cramped layouts, and beat up appliances seem to stand out more than ever. While renovating a kitchen in New York City can be particularly pricey, there are always ways to make high end designs affordable. For example, try using cabinets from Ikea or Home Depot matched up with high quality stone and hardware. Throw in some great lighting and some colorful cookbooks, and voila - you can achieve that high end look on a budget!
