Rose Hill
30 East 29th Street
Sales have launched at Rose Hill, the Rockefeller Group’s first condo development in Manhattan. The 600-foot tower, located at 30 East 29th Street, is currently under construction. The building will host 123 apartments ranging from studios to four-bedrooms with prices starting at $1.195 million.
The building's design is inspired by the Art Deco era and will incorporate a bronze and charcoal color palette. Apartments will feature Miele appliances, high ceilings, marble bathrooms, and a select number of the apartments will come with "flex rooms" (a raw space that can be customized to the buyer’s tastes). Amenities at Rose Hill include a fitness center with a squash club and a HIIT exercise studio, a 50-foot indoor pool, a terrace on the 37th floor, and a private lobby bar called the Blue Room.

Rezdôra
Rezdôra is Flatiron's newest Italian restaurant from chef Stefano Secchi (formerly at Osteria Francescana). The restaurant offers a selection of Italian specialties from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Diners can opt for a $90 pasta tasting menu, or a la carte options with dishes such as ravioli with ricotta stuffing, egg yolk, and asparagus with black truffle and a sea bass with fagiolini, peas, and black garlic zabaglione.
Le Jardinier
Joël Robuchon protégé, Chef Alain Verzeroli, just opened Le Jardinier in Midtown East in a beautiful greenhouse inspired space. The menu is focused on vegetables and light, seasonal cooking with options such as poached white asparagus with a blood orange reduction, chicken with ramps, and a burrata, tomato, and stone fruit dish that is laid out like abstract art. There is an extensive wine list featuring traditional Old World options as well as some newer, biodynamic choices.
Van Da
Van Da, a modern Vietnamese restaurant, has just opened in the East Village. Chefs Yen Ngo and Hannah Wong (formerly at Gramercy Tavern) cook cuisines inspired from Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Hanoi in Vietnam. There are two distinct seating options at Van Da. The downstairs houses a 30-seat dining room that features dishes such as lemongrass beef tartare and a pho short rib grilled cheese, while a street-level lounge serves up cocktails that feature Vietnamese ingredients like lemongrass, kumquat, and tamarind. |
Terrazzo Textures
Terrazzo originated in Italy over 500 years ago. The composite material of marble chippings set into cement was created as a way to reuse the scrapped rock. Once the fragments are set, the surface is then polished to create a super-smooth finish. Traditionally sold as flooring, the material was popular in the 1970s and is now making a come-back. Terrazzo finishes are becoming an alternative for marble and are being incorporated into home design via flooring, countertops, wallpaper, and home accessories. |
