Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

We hope you enjoyed last month's debut newsletter issue since our move to Compass.  As we gear up for the holiday season, Compass continues to WOW us with all of their marketing and technology initiatives (check out our snazzy new pics!).

Wishing you all happy holidays and a new year filled with love and laughter!

Warm wishes,
The Kanbar Kopel Team
STEP 1: Be Prompt and Professionally Dressed

Arrive early so you feel calm and prepared. Dress conservatively and comfortably as if you are going on a job interview. This will permit you to focus on the meeting and portray the best version of yourself.

STEP 2: Know Your Package
Familiarize yourself with the package just before the meeting. You could be asked specific questions related to your financials, background, etc. and you want to be prepared. Never embellish; always answer succinctly and courteously. This is not the time to tell a funny story!

STEP 3: Decide Who Will Answer What
When there is more than one person being interviewed, it is important to decide in advance who will address which subjects. Don't be tempted to ask the board members questions at this time. It could backfire and there will be plenty of time for your questions later.

STEP 4: Don't Expect an Answer Right Away

It is unlikely you will be told whether you "passed" the board interview that same day and it is not appropriate to ask when you will be told. Typically your broker will be notified a day or two later but it could also take as long as a week, especially if there are members of the board who are away. Try to relax and be patient.
