Welcome to May! We look forward to all the flowers post April showers. Since our last newsletter, we have continued to connect with family, friends and clients. We've enjoyed s haring our favorite TV shows, recipes, tips for homeschooling and, of course, the best memes and videos on the Internet. *Stay tuned for a special Kanbar Kopel Team charitable initiative with an amazing organization called Bottomless Closet. Many of you have asked some great real estate-related questions that we look forward to learning the answers to, and sharing with you, in the coming weeks and months: How will the pandemic affect prices and inventory? Has the initial fear settled down and will pent up demand make for a quicker recovery? Will buyers want bigger spaces, perhaps with home offices, dens and outdoor spaces or proximity to a park or river? Will buyers want to leave the city, invest in a 2nd home outside the city or perhaps the townhouse market will boom as buyers move away from communal living spaces? Will buyers flock to new development so they don't need to renovate, live somewhere where nobody else has lived and with many amenities? While this time has presented us with many challenges, it is these difficult times that make us better and stronger. The collaborative spirit we have been experiencing between brokers, lawyers, managing agents, banks, etc. has truly been inspiring. We also see that, as a result of working remotely, our business is becoming more efficient across the board. COMPASS is continually creating new technology and innovative tools that enhance the buying/selling experience and empower us to run our business virtually. Along with some cocktails, this new edition of the game that was just launched this month has definitely kept nights at home interesting. BTW, you can link any of your favorite card games to Zoom at Playingcards.io Dining in Together Cooking has kept us busy this past month. The only thing missing are our non-family dinner guests. However, in lieu of eating with friends, we’ve been virtually trying new recipes together on FaceTime. We also like to add in some healthy competition and take votes on whose dish looks the most like a Pinterest picture! Guess if this gorgeous tuna, olive tapenade, eggplant dish was Stacey’s or Julie's? Book Club Reading is one of the best ways to travel far and wide from your own home. Different virtual book clubs are popping up during isolation. Join one of these popular sites or start your own club with friends! Inside Look: Celebs (at a Distance) Celebrities have been entertaining themselves (and us) while also promoting awareness around Coronavirus, which is inspiring. Check these out! JLO + Arod are among our favorite tik tok videos. Start your morning with Live! with Kelly and Ryan for some awesome celeb interviews and isolation ideas.
