We are so excited to be back in business! NYC has entered Phase 2 as of June 22 and contract activity has increased 41%, reaching its highest peak since the end of March. New listings coming to market have increased by 57%, also reaching its highest level since March 2 (ABC News). These are both very positive indicators. With masks and sanitizer in hand, we are finally out and about doing what we love most - seeing and showing property!

With the start of Phase 2 in NYC, restaurants can now offer outdoor seating to patrons. In order to accommodate greater numbers of customers, many are expanding service to their sidewalks, backyards and patio areas. Check out some of our favorites on the Upper East Side!

One of the best staple wine bars in the neighborhood, UVA, is now open for business in their rustic and relaxing backyard patio. Its the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or one of their signature cocktails. Our favorite dish is the Gnocci di ricotta followed by the Girella al Cioccolato for dessert (you can never go wrong with Nutella!).

Quick, make a reservation! British Gastropub, Jones Wood Foundry, has reopened its small but extremely charming garden. The fish & chips are outstanding as is the salmon burger with avocado and cilantro. Top either of those dishes off with the sticky toffee pudding!

Want a light, healthy lunch while enjoying some fresh air? Check out Hutch+Waldo, the adorable Australian coffee shop and cafe serving up locally-sourced seasonal fare to the UES community. Try one of their lunch bowls; the watermelon sundown salad with feta and mint, or their hearty zucchini burger with house-made basil mayo, are not to be missed!

Trending: Combining High and Low

We love the idea of mixing those high-end pieces with less-expensive finds, from places like CB2, HomeGoods, and local flea markets. Creating a chic space doesn’t have to break the bank, and seeking out interesting, off-the-beaten-path kind of objects can often make a space that much more interesting! Get creative, combining high and low, and consider only spending big bucks on a few statement pieces. Fill in the rest with all of your unique and fun finds. You will also always remember the fun-filled adventures of finding them when you see them daily!
