As the “NYC energy” returns, we find ourselves out and about, enjoying some of our favorite summer meals alfresco and even pounding the pavement with some sense of normalcy (with our new accessory, a mask!) and it truly feels great! But, in anticipation of what we expect to be a very busy Fall, our team members are also taking some much needed time to relax and visit some amazing local travel destinations (since traveling abroad if still off the table for now). Here is a list of some of our favorite spots - all within driving distance to NYC!
1) Gurneys Montauk - a Hamptons destination known for its beautiful beaches and famed restaurant "Scarpetta Beach." 2) The Mayflower Inn - a beautiful boutique hotel and spa in Washington, CT nestled on 58 acres of landscaped gardens. 3) The Mirror Lake Inn - relaxed luxury in the quaint town of Lake Placid. Picturesque views of Mirror Lake with plenty to do for adults and kids - kayaking, paddle-boarding, tubing, and visit the world-famous Olympic Village! 4) Woodloch - if your kids missed out on camp this summer, this is the next best thing. With hundreds of activities from boating to "cupcake wars," this Poconos resort is all about family fun with a little bit of "color war" style competition thrown in.

Check out this awesome Flatiron spot where you can look out onto Madison Square Park from the outdoor patio. We love the comfort food classics like the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich and Truffle Ricotta Gnocchi. Relax with a cocktail and try one of the $10 food specials during Happy Hour (Tuesday thru Saturday 4-6pm).

We are so happy that this Australian-Italian hot spot has re-opened for parties of 4-10. We love the ‘Summer 2020’ cocktail - Lillet rose, Banhez mezcal, with a blend of pineapple and passionfruit paired perfectly with the Miso Roasted Branzino!

Brooklyn is where it's at! Adam Driver keeps it low key in the timeless, sleepy neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. Spotted in the neighborhood walking his dog or frequenting local spots, he has confirmed that he calls the Heights home. Other stars that love the Heights include Mary Louise Parker, Paul Giamatti, and Bjork.

One of our favorite Hollywood power couples, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, recently purchased a luxury condo at 108 Leonard for $3.5M. The two-bedroom home is located in the famous Tribeca clock tower building. Units in the building sell for as high as $12.5M and provide a degree of privacy for its residents. Kidman and Urban, who spend the majority of their time in their Nashville mansion, also have properties in LA and Australia.

Indoor Greenery is an easy and cost effective way to add not only a charming touch to your home, but also creates a mood-lifting effect. Add some "outdoor" to your space, whether its with something subtle like a collection of mini succulents, or bolder statement plants like potted trees. Creating some nature in your space can look incredibly chic and spark conversation! There are many low maintenance options that can sustain themselves inside with no green thumb required! Two of our favorites include the Common Fig and the Money Tree, (which is known to bring good luck). Both only need to be watered every other week and do well in the warm and chilly months!
